Prime Video Offers Up Our First Look at Aldis Hodge’s New Crime Thriller Cross

Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer and first-look images for the highly anticipated crime thriller series CROSS, starring Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross. The series is a live-action adaptation of James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross book series and promises to be one of the jewels in the streamer’s Autumn crown. It lands on 14th November, with all eight episodes available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The series is a gripping, intricate thriller crafted by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins. There’s a lot of positive buzz surrounding it, so much so that the streaming service has already given the green light for a second season. But is all the hype justified? SYNOPSIS

Alex Cross is a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify—and ultimately capture—the murderers. Hodge stars in the series and also serves as a producer. CROSS also stars Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.

Watkins serves as showrunner and executive producer via his Blue Monday Productions banner. Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, and Craig Siebels also executive produce, with James Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa executive producing for James Patterson Entertainment. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost are executive producing for Skydance Television.

I’m excited to see Aldis Hodge back on our screens after his outstanding performance as Hawkman in DC’s Black Adam. James Patterson’s novels are a cornerstone of the crime-thriller genre, so it’s incredibly thrilling to think of Hodge entering this world. The psychological crime thriller arena seems like the perfect fit here, so all signs point to a gripping ride when the series debuts this November. Thankfully, every episode will be available at launch, so fans can look forward to eight thrilling episodes to binge. That sounds like perfect weekend material. But will you be tuning in to catch this exciting new crime thriller?
