PREMISE

This is America…1857. Up is down, pain is everywhere, and innocence and tranquility are losing the battle to hatred and fear. Peace is the shrinking minority, and very few possess grace — even fewer know compassion. There is no safe haven in these brutal lands, and only one goal matters: survival. AMERICAN PRIMEVAL is a fictionalized dramatization and examination of the violent collision of culture, religion, and community as men and women fight and die to keep or control this land.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS LETTER

Friends, we’re writing to thank you in advance for taking the time to watch our beloved show American Primeval. Eric, Mark, and I have always shared a great love for American history and great adventure. With American Primeval we have found the creative outlet to explore our passion.

The production of this series was an epic adventure in itself. No sound stages, remote locations, horses, bears, wolves, rivers, cliffs, and multiple warring parties engaged in brutal battle. American Primeval tells the story of the United States at a very violent time in its history, a time of great conflict, the outcome of which would help shape this nation. Past is prologue.

Through this brutal land travels a young mother with her son. Her journey is the hero’s journey – her survival dependent on her ability to adapt, coerce, fight, and most importantly, to love.

We invite you now to come with us on this wild ride through these wild lands into this American Primeval.

Wagons West.
