Get ready to rock with Sadie Sink in the post-apocalyptic musical O’Dessa!
Disney+ has announced that Searchlight Pictures’ O’Dessa written and directed by Geremy Jasper, will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland (on Hulu in the US) on March 13, 2025.
Set in a post-apocalyptic future, O’Dessa is an original rock opera about a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. Her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love – but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Geremy Jasper (Patti Cake$), O’Dessa stars SAG Award® nominee Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale), SAG Award® winner Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Trial of the Chicago 7, Elvis), Emmy Award® winner and SAG Award® nominee Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, Welcome to Chippendales), and Regina Hall (Girls Trip, Support the Girls). With an original screenplay by Jasper, the film is produced by Academy Award® nominee Michael Gottwald (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Patti Cake$) and Noah Stahl (Patti Cake$, Reality).
