Get ready to fight. Get a closer look at the new Key Art for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 – including Mortal Kombat’s Sub Zero.
We’re just a few days away from the start of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, and Epic Games is turning up the excitement! They just announced that Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat will be part of the new Battle Pass, and they dropped the first Key Art for the season, giving us a great look at the new skins and weapons coming this weekend. The Battle Pass kicks off this Friday, and with all the teasers featuring Sub Zero, everyone is super pumped for a Mortal Kombat-themed season that’s gonna be unforgettable.
But wait, there’s more—those naughty data miners have uncovered that Scorpion will join in on the action this season. And with rumors circling that these two are just the first of many Mortal Kombat characters heading our way throughout the season, Chapter 6 Season 2 has all the hallmarks of an instant classic. But before we suit up for battle, scroll down and check out the Key Art below.
LAWLESS: DILL WITH IT!
Epic Games has put together another awesome Battle Pass full of epic characters, and they all look fantastic. One of the biggest highlights this time is Midas, who’s finally making a long-awaited comeback. But the shiny artwork has plenty of other cool characters, too. I’m curious about the white wolf character that might turn out to be the villain this season. And we can’t forget the Pickle and the new rat/possum character hanging out in the bottom left corner. For a lot of players, though, Sub Zero is the real draw, and for good reason!
It’s not just the new characters that are turning heads this season. We’re getting a bunch of new weapons, plus some classics like the Rocket Drill/Ram and the Mammoth Pistol are making a comeback. If that isn’t enough, the train will now boast some lethal-looking gun turrets. But the coolest news is that Sub Zero is bringing in his own mythic weapon—the ICE GAUNTLETS. This badass weapon lets players deliver punches and melee attacks like the legendary ice warrior, making him the character to watch out for this season. But we’ll know more when Epic Games drops the official reveal in the coming days.
RELEASE
We’re looking forward to more details on Chapter 6, Season 2, once Epic Games drops their official announcement. It’ll help us figure out the connection between Mortal Kombat and the whole heist theme, which we can start digging into on February 21st. Either way, this new season looks exciting, especially now that Fortnite is teaming up with Mortal Kombat. We might see some of the game’s biggest characters popping up soon, and that would be awesome!
Unfortunately, we can’t confirm what accessories or emotes these new characters might have until Epic reveals more. But with Sub Zero making a cold splash and Midas back to lead the charge, plus the debut of the mysterious Pickle, the new season is shaping up to be an instant classic.
The arrival of the Mortal Kombat characters is another fine addition to the growing list of collaboration skins, and the year has only just begun. Other collaborations planned for 2025 include Demon Slayer, The Fast and the Furious, Disney Pixar’s Cars, and James Bond. Additionally, fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can look forward to potentially adding Bebop, Rocksteady, and Casey Jones to the already impressive list of characters available on the game; however, these are yet to be officially confirmed. But 2025 is already off to a flying start, with Jake Sully and Neytiri from Avatar bringing the beauty of Pandora to the map this past weekend. So what are you waiting for?
The new Fortnite LAWLESS Chapter 6 Season 2 Battle Pass launches on February 21st.
