Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment to release the omnibus film in UK and Irish cinemas on 16th April.
Crunchyroll, the ultimate home for anime worldwide, and Sony Pictures Releasing, have launched a brand new teaser trailer for the monster-sized omnibus film Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon. The event-style screenings will debut on 13th, 14th and 16th April in North America while it will release in UK and Irish cinemas on 16th April. The film will be available in both Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English. In France, the film will come to cinemas on 17th and 18th April.
Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon features a condensed, high-action recap of Season One as well as an exclusive, never-before-seen episode, “Hoshina’s Day Off”. The film also debuts a new ending theme song, “Invincible” by OneRepublic.
Adapted from the original manga created by Naoya Matsumoto – the anime series, which premiered in April 2024, is set in a world under attack from giant kaiju (or monsters) and follows the story of Kafka Hibino as he follows his dream of joining the anti-Kaiju Defense Force.
