Star Wars Andor: Season 2 – Fight In The Fields Official Clip

The Release Schedule For Star Wars: Andor Season 2 Emerges From The Force

Cassian’s Stolen TIE Fighter targets a squad of Imperials in the latest clip from Andor: A Star Wars Story (Andor Season 2)

Just days away from the release of the gripping new episodes, Lucasfilm has dropped a new clip from Andor: A Star Wars Story (Andor Season 2). The long-awaited second season of the hit Star Wars series is emerging from lightspeed and onto Disney+ this week, and with the countdown now on, Lucasfilm is teasing us with what awaits us. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s jump into the prototype TIE Fighter with Cassian and check out the newest clip.

In our review of Andor: Season 2, I said: “Star Wars: Andor Season 2 is Tony Gilroy’s masterpiece. The series serves as a perfect prequel to Rogue One in every aspect. This season is far larger in scale than the previous one, excelling with its multi-layered narrative and character-driven drama. Each character is given the opportunity to shine as the story advances towards Rogue One. The plot is engaging, the performances are outstanding, and the series truly delivers some of the best Star Wars content in recent memory. It’s a genuine gem of Star Wars brilliance.” You can read my full review here.

SEASON 2

While Season 1 followed a year in Cassian Andor’s life set about five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the forthcoming episodes will bridge the remaining gap. Covering four years told in three-episode arcs, Andor Season 2 follows Cassian as he evolves into a leader for the emerging Rebel Alliance. Cassian may have been a reluctant hero before, but the Andor we’ll meet next year is fueled by a higher purpose in the fight for freedom against the Empire.

RELEASE

Seeing these characters back in action after such a long break is truly exciting. It feels like ages since we last enjoyed Andor Season One, especially considering the recent releases like Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte. But with the new season exploring the lead-up to Cassian’s heroic sacrifice in Rogue One and K-2SO making a comeback to bring some much-needed charm, the final twelve episodes of Cassian’s journey promise to be a rollercoaster ride. But can these new episodes give Cassian the perfect setup for his noble deeds? Tune in to Disney+ on April 22nd in the US/23rd in the UK to find out!

As always, Future of the Force will be on hand to cover the series from every angle. Our coverage is already rolling down the assembly line. So be sure to check back regularly.
