Join the fight in the Fortnite x Star Wars Galactic Battle Season-ending live event, Death Star Sabotage, on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Although we only just entered the Star Destroyer Bombardment chapter of the new Fortnite x Star Wars Galactic Battle season, the end of the season is in sight. We’ve known for a while that the mini-season was only a few short weeks long, but after taking the fight to the Empire, duelling alongside Mace Windu, and flying into action with the Mandalorians, the end is finally near. But that’s not to say that the season is winding down. Far from it, in fact. In true Fortnite fashion, Epic Games is sending the season out with a bang.
The season will officially end on June 7th, and to ensure it’s put out to pasture in true Star Wars style, our last act of the season is to attack the Death Star. At Emperor Palpatine’s command, the Death Star’s superlaser is charged and ready to decimate the Battle Royale Island. But there’s still hope! The Fortnite player base will need to work together to save the island from total annihilation in “Death Star Sabotage” – the climactic live event that bookends the season.
DEATH STAR SABOTAGE
It’s time to get organized. Intel states that you’ll have a short window of time on June 7 when the Death Star will be most susceptible to attack. Here’s how to join the sabotage:
The event starts June 7 at 2 PM ET, but we recommend getting there early! “Death Star Sabotage” will be a tile in the top row of Discover starting at 12 PM ET. Jump in and pilot an X-wing or Imperial TIE fighter while you get ready for the event to begin — once the countdown reaches zero, you’ll be on your way to Death Star Sabotage!

Won’t be near a dedicated gaming device during the event? Fortnite is available worldwide on Android, on iPhone and iPad in the United States through the App Store, and on iPhone and iPad through the mobile Epic Games Store in the European Union.
Alternatively, the Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna services let you play Fortnite via cloud streaming on your computer or mobile device!
STEEL YOURSELF FOR SABOTAGE
Before the Death Star Sabotage, the GALACTIC BATTLE approaches its end with special log-in rewards for all players. Log into Fortnite between June 3 at 9 AM ET and June 10 at 9 AM ET to immediately receive the Assault on the Death Star Loading Screen and Captain Phasma’s personal melee weapon: the Quicksilver Baton Spear Pickaxe!
The time is nigh to take down the Empire’s superweapon from the sky — sabotage the Death Star on June 7 and put an end to Emperor Palpatine’s wretched plan!
REY RETURNS
But, of course, that’s still over a week away, and there’s plenty of Coaxium left in the tank. Tonight, a brand new skin for Rey will arrive in the item shop. The new skin is based on her appearance in Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi and features Rey in her Apprentice attire from Ahch-To. But there’s more. The skin will come with a changeable second skin featuring Rey in her Sith Apprentice attire from The Rise of Skywalker.
Although the character only appeared for a few brief seconds in the film, Epic Games has decided to introduce this skin to the game, potentially as the final release of the season. Sadly, this means the likes of Jango Fett, the B1 Battle Droids, C-3PO, and the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot will not be joining the games’ Star Wars ranks on this occasion. Let’s hope their arrival is scheduled for a later date.
SEASON FINALE
Despite the disappointment that these characters will not be making their debut this time around, the season has been a triumph for SW fans. From the themed POIs to X-Wings and TIE Fighters dominating the skies, the season has been a blast. We were rewarded with free First Order Stormtrooper skins, unlocked Captain Phasma, and unleashed the dark side as Emperor Palpatine. And let’s not forget heading into battle with Darth Vader, voiced by James Earl Jones and some impressive AI.
Throw Darth Jar Jar, General Grievous, and Poe Dameron into the mix, and I think you’d agree the season has been a spectacular triumph. Plus, with Jedi/Sith Apprentice Rey hitting the item shop and Death Star Sabotage waiting to bookend the season, the Force is strong with this season.
The new Fortnite x Star Wars Apprentice Rey skin will be available in the item shop as early as tonight, so grab yours and feel the Force. Sabotage the Death Star on June 7 and put an end to Emperor Palpatine’s wretched plan!
