In space, no one can hear you scream. But on Earth, everyone can hear you scream. That friendly, lovable Xenomorph is finally coming to pay us a nice, quiet, friendly visit. In your dreams!! The monstrosity that has terrified audiences for the past forty-five years is coming on August 12th to cause violence, destruction and death on our little rock in space. Hitting FX On Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in the rest of the world is the series Alien: Earth. Although not much is known about the show, we do know that it comes our way, written and directed by Noah Hawley, based on the Alien franchise.
The series also serves as a prequel, set two years before the events of the original 1979 Alien. It is great news that we are now getting another story like this after last summer’s Alien: Romulus movie. The cast for the series includes Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav. Check out the new teaser for the series. Save yourself!
THE PREMISE
When a space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s biggest threat.
While we still wait for any juicy details about the show, we do know that Sydney Chandler plays Wendy, a woman who has the body of an adult and the consciousness of a child. Timothy Olyphant portrays Kirsh, Wendy’s synthetic mentor and trainer. Alex Lawther is CJ, a soldier. Samuel Blenkin plays Boy Kavalier, a CEO. Essie Davis is Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gourav is Slightly, and Kit Young is Tootles.
August 12th will prove we were safer in space as Alien: Earth descends to rip us apart on FX On Hulu and Disney+.
