The Daytime Lineup For 5 In 2026 Is Revealed

Carol Vorderman Takes Over 5 Daytime

The daytime lineup for TV Channel 5 has been revealed. From Jeremy Vine to Vanessa Feltz, there’s a star-studded lineup coming in 2026.

5 has confirmed its refreshed daytime line-up for 2026. It unveils a new talk show fronted by Matt Allwright. The channel invests further in the schedule and expands its output with ITN Productions. Storm Huntley is set to welcome new co-host Alexis Conran, while Jeremy Vine will continue in his regular slot. Vanessa will round off the 5-daytime schedule between 2 and 3 pm with a revamped viewer-focused show. The updated schedule reinforces 5’s commitment to live content. It follows a period of exceptional growth across linear and digital for its daytime output.

Allwright’s show will strengthen 5’s daytime line-up with intelligent debate on the day’s biggest stories, lively audience interaction, and invaluable consumer insight. The programme will air Monday to Thursday from 12:50 pm to 2:00 pm, with episodes available to stream on five following their linear transmission.

STORM HUNTLEY

Storm Huntley continues to be a driving force in 5’s daytime success. Her late-morning show has built a strong community of loyal viewers. It averages a 4% share, up 14% year-on-year, with ABC1 audiences rising 19%. From 2026, she will be joined by presenter Alexis Conran as co-host of the new Storm and Alexis programme. This will air from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm.

JEREMY VINE AND VANESSA FELTZ

Jeremy Vine and Vanessa Feltz both programmes posted substantial year-on-year gains in 2025. Vine is averaging a 6% share so far this year (Jan–Oct), up 3% year-on-year. ABC1 audiences are rising 4%. The show reaches 500,000 viewers daily and 8.2 million across the period. Since its launch in March 2025, Vanessa has reached 4.8 million viewers, with a daily reach of 177,000. This further contributes to 5’s strong, consistent daytime presence.

Digital engagement has also soared, with combined online audiences growing exponentially in 2025. Views for all three shows across their social media platforms surged from 93.7m in 2024 to 528m in the year to October 2025.

FEDERICO RUIZ

Federico Ruiz, Commissioning Editor, 5, said:

We are thrilled at next year’s daytime line-up on 5. We’ve put together a presenting family that our viewers love, and we’re excited to give them more of what they want. Where others are cutting back their daytime offerings, we are ramping up. There is no substitute for live TV, and our viewers can now stay with the 5 family from their morning tea, through lunch, to school pick up – where they’ll be by far the most informed people at the gates.

IAN RUMSEY

Ian Rumsey, Managing Director of Content, ITN, said:

“I’m delighted that our partnership with 5 goes from strength to strength. We’re proud to be entrusted with making more daytime content for them by making shows with their own identities, and the common theme of putting viewers’ opinions first.”

The refreshed daytime line-up underscores 5’s growing reputation for vibrant, opinion-led programming that reflects the mood of the nation by putting viewer engagement first. With record audiences, surging online engagement and an expanded partnership with ITN, 5 heads into 2026 with renewed momentum as it delivers compelling, live, and interactive television that keeps viewers talking.
