Brat Summer Forever. Coming to UK and Irish cinemas from Universal Pictures on February 20th is The Moment. The mockumentary is a vaguely true look behind the curtain of Charli xcx’s viral BRAT summer. Directed by Aiden Zamiri, the film stars Charli xcx, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Benton Gates, Isaac Powell, Rachel Sennott, and Alexander Skarsgård. It is a mockumentary about a pop star gearing up to lead her first headlining tour. Notably, the movie will be receiving its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. It is scheduled for release in the United States by A24 on January 30th. The official trailer for the film is here.
As you can see from the trailer, the film looks to be a hilarious, self-deprecating, and crazy mockumentary in which Charli xcx will be sending up her public persona to significant effect.
