ABOUT THE SERIES
Broadcast live each week, this brand-new British version brings the high-wire, anything-can-happen energy audiences expect from SNL. However, it presents a distinctly British viewpoint.
Written, rehearsed and performed in the week of broadcast, this format preserves SNL’s famously fast turnaround creative process. Each show is staged in front of a live studio audience. In addition, every episode features an opening monologue. Topical sketches, live music, and a UK adaptation of SNL’s iconic satirical news segment, Weekend Update.
Together, this first wave of hosts, musical guests and cast members marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for the globally acclaimed SNL franchise. Blending its storied legacy with a fresh generation of British comedy voices.
