Barry Pepper, the Emmy-award-winning actor, will join Jeremy Strong in the upcoming Paramount+ limited series, 9/12.
Emmy Winner Barry Pepper will star alongside Emmy and Tony Award Winner, Oscar Nominee, and executive producer Jeremy Strong (Succession, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, The Apprentice) in 9/12. The upcoming six-episode limited series is for Paramount+. It tells the story of the David vs. Goliath fight that exposed corruption. As a result, they won justice for 9/11’s ailing heroes.
Barry Pepper (The Kennedys, Saving Private Ryan) will play “Coach,” a former NYPD police officer and 9/11 first responder suffering from leukemia. A result of his work at ground zero. He is hesitant to sue the city, but he decides to become the face of the lawsuit to support other victims.
THE PREMISE
9/12 dramatizes a landmark case that reshaped the fight for accountability. A relentless legal war that stretched nearly a decade to secure almost $1 billion in compensation for first responders who fell gravely ill in the wake of 9/11.
As previously announced, Jeremy Strong stars as renowned class action lawyer Jason Smith. He risked everything to take on entrenched institutions. Exposing the politics, greed, corruption, and betrayal that compounded tragedy set against the emergency workers’ extraordinary unity and unflinching bravery as the World Trade Center was collapsing.

Barry Pepper is an award-winning Canadian actor whose distinguished career spans more than three decades across film and television. He is widely recognized for his performances in acclaimed films, including Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, 25th Hour, Flags of Our Fathers, and True Grit. Pepper earned a Primetime Emmy Award for his portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy in the television miniseries The Kennedys.
