Prime Video Releases The First Look Images At The Upcoming Romantic Drama Boys Of Tommen

Get your first taste of what lies ahead as Prime Video releases the first images for Boys Of Tommen, based on the best-selling phenomenon.

Prime Video has released the first official images for Boys of Tommen, the highly anticipated sweeping romantic drama TV series based on the BookTok sensation and #1 New York Times bestselling series by Irish author Chloe Walsh. Nancy Surridge plays Shannon Lynch, and Conor Sánchez portrays Johnny Kavanagh in the newly unveiled images at Prime Video’s Obsessed Retreat: Class of ’26. This was an engaging two-day event held in the Alps, Germany.

THE PREMISE

Boys of Tommen follows the forbidden love story of Johnny Kavanagh, the star rugby player on the verge of a pro career, and Shannon Lynch, the talented but painfully shy new girl at the prestigious private school of Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland. Both teenagers are hiding secrets: Johnny, a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon, a troubled and violent home life. Through their secret and highly charged connection, the two teens from opposite worlds battle against the odds. As a result, they find a way to save each other.

THE CAST

The series, which is now in production and directed by VMA-nominated Brendan Canty (Christy), stars Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch, Nancy Surridge as Johnny Kavanagh, James O’Donoghue as Joey Lynch, and Sophie McGibbon as Aoife Molloy. The Core 10 include a talented group of actors. Amelia May plays Claire Biggs, and John Hewson plays Gerard Gibson. Indy Lewis portrays Lizzie Young, while Alex Dunne plays Hugh Biggs. Dixie Egerickx shines as Katie Wilmot, and Jamie Schneider is cast as Patrick Feely. They are joined by Daisy Jacob as Bella Wilkinson. Additionally, Jonathan Heed plays Cormac Ryan, and Cathal Ó Síocháin plays Ronan McGarry. James Craven plays Pierce O’Neill, and Lewis Brophy portrays Podge.

Eoin Macken portrays Teddy Lynch, Róisín Gallagher plays Marie Lynch, Amy Huberman plays Edel Kavanagh, Jonathan Forbes stars as John Snr, and Tristan Heanue embodies Tony Molloy. These characters significantly influence the young leads’ lives. Additionally, Harvey Moloney and Cobhan O’Brien will portray Ollie Lynch and Tadhg Lynch, Shannon’s younger brothers.

BEHIND THE CAMERAS

The series, greenlit earlier this year, will be produced by global independent studio wiip in association with Amazon MGM Studios. In addition, Metropolitan is handling local production services. Series one is adapted by Poppy Cogan (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) and draws from the first two novels in Chloe Walsh’s bestselling series, “Binding 13” and “Keeping 13.” Cogan takes on the role of Executive Producer alongside Walsh, wiip’s Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, and Sean Flanagan. Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman, and Annika Patton will also be Executive Producers. Moreover, the team includes Drama Republic’s Greg Brenman and Deena Butt. Carla Stronge will lead casting efforts. VMA-nominated Brendan Canty (Christy) directs the series, while Ingrid Goodwin serves as Series Producer.

Boys of Tommen will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide as part of Amazon MGM Studios’ expanding global slate of premium international scripted series and dedication to delivering book-to-screen adaptations.
