Paramount+ has announced the Australian original drama, Who the Hell Is Hamish?, will premiere globally on the platform. All episodes will be available to binge from Thursday, December 10. The trailer and key art are also now available for the six-episode drama. It features an all-star ensemble cast led by Dominic Cooper and Claire van der Boom.
THE PREMISE
Inspired by the true story of an industrial fraudster and the victims who banded together to take him down, Who The Hell Is Hamish? follows Hamish McLaren (Dominic Cooper) as he returns to Australia from Canada. He does not come as a man in exile but as a man surveying his old domain. In addition, he sets his sights on Bec (Claire van der Boom), a recently divorced single mum with three sons and access to a significant family trust. But when Bec begins to notice discrepancies in Hamish’s story and some strange behavior, what starts as personal doubt quickly widens into something far larger. It becomes a pattern of deception spanning continents and is suspected of leaving a debt of more than $70 million in his wake.
The series stars Cooper and van der Boom alongside Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), William McKenna (Heartbreak High), Kate Jenkinson (Wentworth), Miah Madden (My Brilliant Career), Fraser Anderson (Audrey), Yasmin Kassim (FING!), Doris Younane (Five Bedrooms), Maria Angelico (Strife), Marta Dusseldorp (Bay of Fires), John Howard (Colin from Accounts), Andrea Moor (Spit), Joel Jackson (Peter Allen), Remy Hii (Spiderman: Far From Home), Damien Garvey (The Survivors), Jack LaTorre (Kid Snow) and introducing Harvey Bowen.
