Han, Chewie and Lando are set to enjoy their European Premiere at Cannes
With the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story less than two months away, the world’s eyes are watching…. eager to digest every titbit of news, imagery or action figure reveal to obtain a crumb of insight into what is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the Star Wars universe. The all new trailer and poster have now been unleashed upon the world sending both the fans and team Future of the Force into a delirium.
Rumours had surfaced suggesting that the Lucasfilm origin story would premiere in a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, ahead of its global release on May 24th and now, Lucasfilm have clarified the rumours.
In a social media post on their official twitter account, StarWars.Com confirmed that Ron Howard’s new anthology movie will be presented in an official “Out of Competition” screening at the prestigious Festival de Cannes.
Ron Howard has previously debuted Willow and the Da Vinci Code at Cannes and the master of the saga himself, George Lucas previously launched Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith there in 2005.
So, set course for Cannes Star Wars fans.
Han, Chewie, Lando and the Falcon will be there….
