The Universal Monsters Collection is one of the crown jewels of my Blu-Ray collection. I adore the black and white classics. I even own them on various streaming platforms. But now, the game has changed!
This Halloween, an all-new 4K Blu-Ray set is rising from the grave. The Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection will release on October 5, and includes new 4K scans of The Wolf Man (1941); Frankenstein (1931); The Invisible Man (1933), and Dracula (1931). These icons of cinema have been restored and remastered using the best elements over the past ten years, and come with a host of special features.

CREATURE FEATURE
Sadly, other iconic Universal Monsters like The Creature From The Black Lagoon, and The Mummy aren’t included in the set. But on the strength of this glorious 4K boxset, surely it’s only a matter of time before we see more creatures emerge from the vault. And thanks to the inclusion of a digital copy, we’ll be able to watch them whenever the mood takes us! Just try and avoid watching them during a full moon!
