The first poster for DC Studios’ Blue Beetle movie has been released at the Comic-Con Experience in Brazil
DC fans rejoice because Warner Bros has dropped the first poster for the upcoming Blue Beetle movie. And in a stunning twist, the reveal came at the Comic-Con Experience in Brazil. The poster’s release was a major surprise for those in attendance because the movie wasn’t planned to be showcased at the event.
The poster reveals the “sacred scarab” that bestows its power onto Jaime Reyes and transforms him into the Blue Beetle. The set images hint that Reyes’ version of the character will be the third incarnation from the DC Rebirth series. In that version, the sacred scarab can morph into a super suit allowing Reyes to fight crime and travel through space. So if that is the case, DC fans can look forward to a special adventure when the film hits our screens in August. Check out the poster below.
CAST
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto, the movie stars Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes, Bruna Marquezine as Penny, Belissa Escobedo as sister Milagros, George Lopez as Jaime’s uncle, and Susan Sarandon as the main antagonist Victoria Kord.
DC STUDIOS
“The most recent Blue Beetle is Jaime Reyes, a teenager from El Paso, Texas who bonded with Dan Garrett’s Scarab. The artifact gave him incredible alien armor which he used to defend his hometown from all manner of metahuman criminals. A Blue Beetle has been a part of the superhero community in the DC Universe in some form since 1939, serving both as a solo adventurer and as a part of teams like the Justice League and the Teen Titans, creating one of the greatest heroic legacies in the DCU.”
RELEASE
DC’s Blue Beetle will be just one of four major motion pictures coming from DC Studios in 2023. Look for the film to hit cinemas on August 18.
