Those Mean Girls are returning! And this time, it’s a musical!
Based on the movie of the same name, Mean Girls: The Musical has been a success on stage. It was inevitable that this would be made into a movie, and now it’s been proven. The film will be hitting cinemas in January of 2024. The new version stars Angourie Rice, Auli’i Cravalho, Reneé Rapp, Jaquel Spivey, Avantika, Bebe Wood, Christopher Briney, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, with Tina Fey, with Tim Meadows. Today, the design for the title has been revealed.
That’s not all. As today (October 3rd) is Mean Girls Day, everyone can watch the original 2004 movie for free on the official Mean Girls TikTok. Plus, fans can join in with the TikTok live watch party of the film.

THE NEW MOVIE VERSION
The latest instalment of the movie is helmed by Arturo Perez Jr. and Samantha Jayne, with Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey serving as producers. Tina Fey has penned the screenplay for the film. The executive producers include Jeff Richmond, Nell Benjamin, Eric Gurian, Erin David, and Pamela Thur. The music is by Jeff Richmond with lyrics by Nell Benjamin.
