The Hollywood acting strikes sees Deadpool 3 pushed out of its May 2024 release slot. Get the details here.
The Hollwood acting strikes have claimed Deadpool 3. The film, starring Ryan Reynolds alongside a returning Hugh Jackman as Logan/ Wolverine was due for release on May 3rd, 2024. Filming was suspended back in July when the strikes first began. Although half of the film is in the can, there is still more filming to be done. Alongside the effects work, editing and everything else, if the strikes ended right now, the film hasn’t a chance to meet its intended release date. There is, of course, a chance that the film could debut later in 2024, maybe in November. But for the moment, its been removed from the release schedule, according to Deadline.

THE CAST
Alongside Reynolds as Wade Wilson/ Deadpool and Jackman as Logan/ Wolverine, the film also features the returning Morena Baccarin as Vanessa. Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder. Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Rob Delaney as Peter. Emma Corrin has been cast as the lead villain while Matthew Macfadyen has been cast in an undisclosed role. The film has been confirmed as being R-Rated fare.
The big news is that Jennifer Garner also appears in the film, reprising her role as Jennifer Garner as Elektra Natchios after playing the character in 2003’s Daredevil, and the solo spin off, 2005’s Elektra. This is said to be a ‘Cameo-like appearance’. However, an interesting rumor is doing the rounds. It has been said that Ben Affleck has been spotted on the set of the film. Could this mean that Affleck is also in the film, returning to the role of Matt Murdock/ Daredevil in a cameo? That WOULD be something to excite the fans.
