Black Alert! The crew of the Discovery will emerge from the mycelial network on Thursday, April 4 when the final season of Star Trek: Discovery sets off on its final voyage
Black Alert Trek fans because Paramount+ has just confirmed the launch date for the final season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. After rumors swirled around the fanbase last week, the streamer has confirmed that the final voyage of Captain Burnham and her crew will emerge from the mycelial network on Thursday, April 4.
The ten-episode final adventures of the U.S.S Discovery will run through May 30, with a two-episode debut – with the series landing within days of FIRST CONTACT DAY. The rest of the season will roll out across successive weeks before the show returns to drydock for the final time.
SYNOPSIS
The fifth and final season will find Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well…dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.

Sadly, as of press time, the studio is keeping the plot of the final season under wrap for the time being. And rightly so. After all, any Trek IP deserves to have a worthy send-off. And if the final season of STAR TREK: PICARD is anything to go by, we’ll all be reaching for the tissues as the Discovery returns to drydock to be decommissioned. Either way, all will be revealed when the final adventures of the starship Discovery get underway on April 4th.
