Join forces with Goku as Dragon Ball Z makes its way to Crunchyroll!
Last month, Crunchyroll announced the arrival of the Dragon Ball saga to its growing catalogue in the United Kingdom and France. This includes five TV series and over 800 episodes.
Dragon Ball Super (131 episodes) and Dragon Ball (153 episodes) are already available in the UK. Today is March 1st, which means Dragon Ball Z (291 episodes) is now available on Crunchyroll in subtitled and dubbed versions!
The two remaining series will arrive later this month. Dragon Ball GT (64 episodes) from 15th March, and Dragon Ball Z Kai (167 episodes) from 29th March.
The Dragon Ball phenomenon began in 1984, when Akira Toriyama’s famous manga was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It swiftly became a leading title during its ten and a half years of publication. Since then, the manga’s success has gone from strength to strength, with an incredible 260 million copies sold worldwide. With Dragon Ball‘s ever-growing popularity, the series has expanded beyond manga to include animated series, films, games and merchandising. Produced by Toei Animation, the animated series began airing in 1986 and has since aired around the world.
Today, almost 40 years after the launch of the original manga, Dragon Ball continues to evolve ever further.

Broadcast in Japan from April 1989 to January 1996, Dragon Ball Z is the second part of the anime based on the original story created by Akira Toriyama.
With 291 episodes, Dragon Ball Z is the longest series of the saga. It’s divided in 4 main parts:
- Saiyan Saga
- Frieza Saga
- Androids Saga
- Majin Buu Saga
Dragon Ball Z is also the most popular part of the saga, especially in the English speaking territories. Many fans discovered the series through its English dubbed version that launched in 1996 and with over 50 video games published from 1999 onwards.
