Ghostbusters Frozen Empire | Inside Ray's Occult Books

Go behind the scenes on Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire with this inside look at Ray’s Occult Books.

We are only a few days away from the release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and the containment unit has been breached once again. Sony Pictures has provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Ray’s Occult Books in advance of the upcoming supernatural film. The bookstore was first introduced in Ivan Reitman’s supernatural sequel, Ghostbusters II. However, with the latest installment set in New York, many of the classic locations from past adventures are being revisited.

Thanks to the Ghostbusters Ectoverse Reddit page, we have several fantastic high-resolution images from the set. The exciting sneak peek offers us the first glimpse inside the bookstore, unveiling an array of macabre items put on display. From amputated hands to juice boxes and even taxidermied animals, there’s something spooky for every fan. And in a clever placement in the corner, you can spot a bottle of Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka. Before Slimer can even get a sip from the bottle, take a look at the high-resolution images below.

RAY’S OCCULT

Ray’s Occult Books is expected to play a significant role in the plot of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. According to reports, Podcast (Logan Kim) leases the basement of the building to film episodes of his podcast. In a new podcast format, viewers bring haunted items for appraisal, causing spiritual turbulence and unleashing demonic entities with plans of world domination. And, of course, Ghostbusters, young and old, must unite to save the city from the arctic onslaught of the evil Garraka.

Frozen Empire represents the third time fans have returned to Ray’s Occult Books. After its debut in Ghostbusters II, the bookstore was featured again in the long-overdue sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
