Coming to digital download to buy from June 3rd and rent from June 17th is the coming-of-age comedy Snack Shack. The film comes our way courtesy of Republic Pictures which is a Paramount Pictures label. The film stars Conor Sherry and Gabriel LaBelle as a pair of teenage friends working at a community pool snack shack in Nebraska City. Also starring Mika Abdalla, Gillian Vigman, David Costabile, and Nick Robinson, the film is semi-autobiographical, being loosely based on director and writer Adam Carter Rehmeier’s childhood experience in Nebraska City. PREMISE
Nebraska City, summer of 1991—Inseparable best friends AJ and Moose seize the opportunity to run the local pool’s rundown snack shack after their plan to gamble on dog races and sell home-brewed beer goes down the drain. Dreaming of striking it rich, things take an unexpected turn when they meet Brooke, an effortlessly cool lifeguard who puts their big summer plans and their friendship at risk.
