The X-Men Rise From The Ashes This Summer

The X-Men return this summer in a new “From The Ashes” initiative from Marvel Comics.

This summer, Marvel Comics relaunches the X-Men comic book line with the From the Ashes initiative. It follows the “Krakoan Age,” which began in 2019 with the pioneering House of X/Powers of X miniseries written by Jonathan Hickman. The Krakoan Age officially concludes after five years with the two miniseries Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X. The new ongoing series was announced at a comic panel at South by Southwest.

FROM THE ASHES

From the Ashes is not a reboot. It is a relaunch that will move the X-Men’s stories in a new direction while keeping their histories intact. Former Avengers editor Tom Brevoort is spearheading From the Ashes. The run will provide a new beginning for the series after the devastating events of the Krakoan Age. It returns the mutants to a world that hates and fears them more than ever. Here is what we know about the From the Ashes initiative so far.

FLAGSHIP TITLES

Other titles included in this new relaunch of the X-Men are NYX, Phoenix, Storm, Wolverine, X-Factor, and X-Force. These books will begin between July and October. There will also be a four-issue Dazzler limited series written by Jason Loo and drawn by Rafael Loureiro. This new line will debut in September.

This should be exciting news for X-Men fans, both new and old. I am very excited about this new direction and the stories this incredible cast of creators has in store for us.
