The prequel series Star Wars: The Acolyte launches on Disney+ on June 4th. The character posters have emerged from the Force!

Next week sees the release of the new Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte. Leslye Headland created the series, which is set 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, at the end of the High Republic era. The cast for the series includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-Jae, and Manny Jacinto. Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith. Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss. The production of the series took place in London, specifically at Shinfield Studios in Berkshire, and involved filming on location in both Wales and Portugal.

The series premiered in the United States last week. Tonight has seen the UK premiere of the first two episodes in London’s Odeon Leicester Square. Many of the cast and crew, along with specially invited guests, attended the premiere. Character posters for some of the main characters were released before the event. PREMISE

The Acolyte is set at the end of the Star Wars franchise’s High Republic era. Approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. It sees a respected Jedi Master investigating a series of crimes that bring him into conflict with a former Padawan learner and reveal sinister forces.
