Dave Bautista locks, loads and goes into battle after a terminal diagnosis in the first trailer for the action comedy The Killer’s Game.
Are you ready to play The Killer’s Game? You need to be tough, violent, a great shot, and try not to be on Dave Bautista’s bad side. The movie from Lionsgate is shooting towards cinemas this September. The film adaptation, directed by J. J. Perry and penned by Rand Ravich and James Coyne, is based on Jay Bonansinga’s 1997 novel of the same name. Alongside Bautista, the film features a cast that includes
Ben Kingsley, Sofia Boutella, Terry Crews, Pom Klementieff, Scott Adkins, and Drew McIntyre. Also featured in the film are Shaina West, Lucy Cork, Daniel Bernhardt, Lee Hoon, Marko Zaror, and Raffaello Degruttola.
The movie adaptation of Bonansinga’s novel has been in development for years. It was first optioned on-spec back in 1995 under New Line Cinema. Paramount Pictures, Broad Green Pictures, and STX Films each attempted to produce the film before Lionsgate succeeded in bringing it to production.
REPLACEMENT ACTORS
Originally, Jason Statham was cast in the lead role, which was later taken over by Dave Bautista. Ice Cube was expected to appear but was replaced by Terry Crews. The film’s first trailer is now available, but please note that it contains strong language and violence right from the start.
PREMISE
A veteran assassin fends off a hit he placed on himself after learning the terminal medical diagnosis he received was incorrect.
The Killer’s Game is set for release on September 13th.
