The animated epic science fiction survival drama adventure film The Wild Robot will investigate cinemas on September 27th.
Based on the book series of the same name, Universal Pictures and Dreamworks Animation will be bringing us The Wild Robot in September. The animated film is a science-fiction adventure for the whole family. Written and directed by Chris Sanders, who also produced with Jeff Hermann, and based on the novels by Peter Brown. The film features an ensemble vocal cast. Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy. Kit Connor, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames lend the vocal tones to the film’s characters. A new look at the movie has been unveiled with the release of the second trailer.
PREMISE
The Wild Robot follows Rozzum 7134 (“Roz” for short), a futuristic robot that washes ashore on a deserted island. From there, a tale of survival and discovery begins when she becomes the unexpected protector to an orphaned gosling. Which she names Brightbill. Together they struggle to survive the harsh environment. But only succeed with the help of a close-knit group of misfit animals, who become first friends, then family. Ultimately Roz and company save the island from a robotic invasion by Roz’s manufacturer, looking to bring her back to civilization by any means necessary.

VOCAL CAST
Lupita Nyong’o voices Roz. She is joined by Pedro Pascal as Fink. Catherine O’Hara as Pinktail. Bill Nighy as Longneck. Kit Connor as Brightbill, and Stephanie Hsu as Vontra. Mark Hamill, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames voice as-yet-unnamed characters.
The Wild Robot will come to life when the film opens in cinemas on September 27th.
