THE UK TOP TEN

This week sees two new entries and a single re-entry into the chart placings. To make way for these titles, it is the end of the line for The Fall Guy, The Equalizer 3, and Madame Web. But what are these new titles and where have they entered the chart? Let’s find out together.

GODZILLA AND KONG RULE THE CHART ONCE AGAIN!

It’s another week at the top for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, despite strong performances from two brand-new entries. (Read our review here.)

TAKE YOUR PICK-GARFIELD OR THE APES!

Hitting digital download this week are two entirely different titles from each other. The first is the animated family movie The Garfield Movie, which has been released on PVOD. In the film, Garfield is reunited with his long-lost father, a street cat named Vic, being forced into joining him on a high-stakes adventure. (Read our review here.) Chris Pratt is the voice of the titular character, alongside the voices of Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Snoop Dogg. You can rent the film for £15.99 or buy it early for £19.99.

The second film is Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, which has been released straight to the retail market on digital download. The film takes place 300 years after the events of War For The Planet Of The Apes and follows a young chimpanzee named Noa, who embarks on a journey alongside a human woman named Mae to determine the future for apes and humans alike. (Read our review here.) It stars Owen Teague in the lead role alongside Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy. In my opinion, it is one of the best films of this year, so if you fancy seeing Apes Together Strong, grab it now from your preferred digital retailer.

WHO WILL WIN NEXT WEEK?

So, will either manage to dethrone the Titans at the top of the chart next week? With two of the year’s biggest heavyweight movies now available, it would surprise me if the Titans hung onto the top spot. Will I be proved right or wrong? There’s only one way to find out and that’s by joining me again next week. So, until then…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!
