This week on The Official Chart, The Bikeriders ride in and The Meg resurfaces, leaving the Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes To rule on!
Welcome to The Official Film Chart.
THE UK TOP TEN
This week sees a single new entry and two re-entries into the chart positions. As is customary, we must say goodbye to three titles. And therefore, it is farewell (for now) to Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Oppenheimer. But what are these new and returning entries, and where have they arrived in the chart? It is time for us to find out.

THE APES TOGETHER ARE STILL STRONG!
It’s a third week atop the Official Film Chart for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The Sci-Fi Action film is the first of four entries in this week’s Top 10 to land a place in the countdown on digital downloads only. (Read our review here.)

IF REMAINS A REALITY AT NUMBER TWO!
John Krasinski’s creation IF holds strong at Number 2, finishing 6.8k sales behind this week’s Number 1. (Read our review here.)

THE FALL GUY TUMBLES BACK INTO THE TOP TEN!
The action comedy The Fall Guy starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt rockets up 19 places this week to Number 3, also based purely on digital download sales. (Read our review here.)

TWISTER SPINNING ON THE SPOT!
The 1996 disaster film Twister holds strong at Number 4.

THE BIKERIDERS RIDE INTO THE TOP TEN!
This week’s highest new entry is The Bikeriders at Number 5. The period crime drama counts Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, and Tom Hardy in its starring roles.

THE FROZEN EMPIRE IS STARTING TO MELT!
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire drops one place to Number 6. (Read our review here.)

ABIGAIL GETS SOME FRESH BLOOD!
Abigail, at Number 7, gets some new blood as it rises three places week on week. (Read our review here.)

MEG 2 RESURFACES ONCE AGAIN TO TAKE A CHART BITE!
Meg 2: The Trench torpedoes back up 31 places to return to the Top 10 at Number 8. (Read our review here.)

THE CIVIL WAR IS NOW A BRIEF SKIRMISH!
Civil War at Number 9 is down six places.

DUNE: PART TWO IS DRIFTING OUT OF THE CHART!
Finally, former chart-topper Dune: Part Two is at Number 10, dropping three places. (Read our review here.)

DO YOU WANT TO OBSERVE A SASQUATCH SUNSET?
And that is that for this week. However, if you’re in the mood to watch something quirky, then Sasquatch Sunset may be for you. The film is now available to rent only at a cost of £9.99. Starring Riley Keough, Jesse Eisenberg, Christophe Zajac-Denek, and Nathan Zellner, the film is an absurdist fantasy drama which contains no dialogue at all. The actors portray the aforementioned Sasquatches with the film following the family of Sasquatch over a period of one year. At times, the film can be quite funny, at others quite sad. And it is also dramatic and heartbreaking at various points. But it is an enjoyable watch all the same. If it sounds like your kind of thing or if you’ve just got a curiosity about what it contains, rent it from your preferred digital retailer.

What will we see hit the chart next week? Will Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga make its debut in the top ten? (Read our review here.) Will Bad Boys: Ride Or Die speed in after its PVOD debut? (Read our review here.) Or will the Apes continue to be together strong at the top of the chart? Anything is possible and we will find out next week. Until then…
Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!
