You got a friend in me? Let it go? Not a chance! At the Disney D23 Expo, Pixar arrived to unveil a slate of movies that will be hitting screens over the next few years. And they are a doozy! From sequels to some of their brilliant classic movies to new original movies and TV shows, we can expect a deluge of great entertainment from the studio. So, let’s dive in and see what is in store.
FROZEN III
Pixar are not ready to Let It Go just yet! A second sequel to the animated original hit will be coming to the screen in 2027. Moreover, a fourth instalment has been hinted at.
TOY STORY 5
We all knew it was coming. The fifth film in the long-running franchise will enchant us all again when it hits cinemas in the summer of 2026. The film follows the toys going up against electronics.
THE INCREDIBLES 3
Pixar is still working on The Incredibles series, and the third instalment is set to be released in cinemas soon.
ZOOTOPIA 2
The sequel to Pixar’s highly successful original movie will land on screens next year. The film will also feature Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan as the voice of a new reptile character named Gary.
HOPPERS
Pixar announced a brand new original movie in the shape of Hoppers. Pixar’s new original movie follows a girl who switches brains with beavers to learn about the secrets of beavers. She transfers her mind into a robot beaver to infiltrate their animal kingdom. Jon Hamm will voice the Mayor trying to destroy the beaver’s home.
ELIO
The latest glimpse of the upcoming film “Elio” has been unveiled. Additionally, it has been announced that Zoe Saldana has joined the voice cast. The film opens on June 13th, 2025.
DREAM PRODUCTIONS
Disney+ announced the upcoming release of the series “Dream Productions.” Set between ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Inside Out 2’. The series follows Dream Productions, the movie studio inside Riley’s mind that makes up her dreams.
WIN OR LOSE
Pixar has unveiled a new sneak peek at its first long-form series, Win or Lose. The series will be hitting Disney+ on December 6th.
