Get ready to explore the origins of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command in the new trailer for Disney Pixar’s Lightyear
Get ready to go to infinity and beyond because Disney just dropped the first teaser for Lightyear. Pixar’s latest endeavor promises to explore the origin story of the legendary Toy Story hero and Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear. The movie is a prequel to the Toy Story movies and will be presented in the stunning animation that Pixar is renowned for.

ADVENTURE
The feature depicts the in-universe adventures of the Buzz Lightyear character as he embarks on an adventure to infinity and beyond. And while Tim Allen famously lent his vocals to Buzz across four-epic movies; Chris Evans, yes THE Chris Evans will be on hand to voice Buzz this time around.

ANNOUNCEMENT
The film was originally announced during the Disney 2020 Investor Day. And after his participation was confirmed Evans said:
“The phrase ‘a dream come true’ gets thrown around a lot, but I’ve never meant it more in my life. Anyone who knows me knows that my love for animated films runs deep. I can’t believe that I get to be a part of the Pixar family and work with these truly brilliant artists who tell stories unlike anyone else. Watching them work is nothing short of magic. I pinch myself every day.”
And if that isn’t enough to have you suiting up ready to fight Zurg and his evil minions; Disney also drooped the key art poster for the movie which you can see below.

Lightyear will release in cinemas on June 17, 2022.
