Get ready for Doctor Doom’s return. The new Fortnite x Marvel collaboration launches with the Absolute Doom Battle Pass this Friday.
Disney’s D23 Expo has been monumental. Disney not only teased us with previews of their upcoming projects but also officially announced the next Fortnite x Marvel collaboration. We’ve known for a while that the next Fortnite Battle Pass would have a cool Marvel theme, and now it’s confirmed after Marvel’s Kevin Feige spilled the beans.
During the D23 event, the Marvel Entertainment chief announced alongside Dave Filoni from Lucasfilm, Pete Docter from Disney Pixar, and Jennifer Lee from Disney Animation that the upcoming Fortnite Battle Pass will be called ABSOLUTE DOOM.
ABSOLUTE DOOM
Doctor Doom is back, and he’s causing chaos by teaming up with a bunch of villains to take over the map. He used the power of Pandora’s box to reshape everything in his favor. But, no worries, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are ready to fight back. And guess what? You can now get Cyclops, Jubilee, and Colossus from the X-Men in the item shop. Plus, more awesome Marvel heroes and villains are joining the Battle Pass, making this season one of the best yet.
The new Pass will boast some incredible new characters from the Marvel Universe, including:
- Gwenpool (unlocked right away!)
- War Machine (Avengers)
- Peelverine (Peely as Wolverine)
- Emma Frost (X-Men)
- Captain Jonesy (Jonesy as Captain America)
- Mysterio (Spider-Man)
- Shuri (Black Panther)
- Doctor Doom (SECRET SKIN)
We don’t have confirmation about the new back bling, pickaxes, emotes, and accessories. Now that the Pass has been announced, we should learn more about these in the next few days. But the trailer reveals that almost every character in the Battle Pass will be rewarded with a mythical ability to be used on your enemies on the battlefield. But the reveal doesn’t end there. More new characters are headed to the item shop in the Battle Pass, giving a fun Fortnite twist on some of Marvel’s greatest villains. And if you were hoping for Marvel’s first family to stand up to Doctor Doom, you’re in luck. Heading our way throughout the season are:
- Fishpool (A Fishstick Deadpool Crossover)
- Sabertooth Meowscles (Fortnite Meowscles Dressed as Sabertooth)
- The Fantastic Four (Marvel’s First Family)
DOOMSDAY
Although some of these new characters won’t show up until later in the season, the new season, which is only days away, will introduce many new characters to enjoy. Pete Docter revealed that characters from THE INCREDIBLES are coming to Fortnite in the fall. Jennifer Lee confirmed that a new FORTNITE x DISNEY VILLAINS collaboration is just months away, and Dave Filoni announced that Moff Gideon, IG-11, and Grogu from The Mandalorian will be available in the item shop TOMORROW.
As mentioned, you can get the new X-Men collaboration in the item shop right now, featuring Cyclops, Jubilee, and Colossus. So, prepare for some significant changes in Fortnite starting this week in the Fortnite Absolute Doom pass.
