The second feature film from actor/ director Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rob Peace, will be released in the UK & Ireland on September 6th.

Republic Pictures has announced the release of “ROB PEACE,” the second feature film directed by Oscar-nominated British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor. The movie stars Jay Will in a prominent role and is scheduled to hit UK and Irish cinemas on September 6, 2024. The UK trailer and poster for the film were unveiled today in anticipation of its upcoming release in the region.

PREMISE

Written and directed by Ejiofor, ROB PEACE is based on Jeff Hobbs’ bestselling and critically acclaimed work of non-fiction. Robert Peace grew up in an impoverished section of Newark and later graduated from Yale on scholarship. Peace led a dual life in academia earning degrees in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He also sold marijuana to support his father, whom he believed was wrongfully imprisoned for murder.

Alongside Jay Will in the titular role, Chiwetel Ejiofor appears in front of the camera playing Peace’s father Skeet Douglas. Academy Award nominee, Grammy and Emmy winner and Queen of R&B Mary J. Blige plays Peace’s mother Jackie. And award-winning artist Camila Cabello plays Naya, Peace’s on-off girlfriend.
