Based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison, the film opens on August 30th in the UK.

Opening in UK cinemas on August 30th is the drama film, Sing Sing. The film, distributed by A24, is directed by Greg Kwedar, who co-wrote the screenplay with Clint Bentley. The movie stars Colman Domingo and Paul Raci. Alongside some real-life former prisoners who participated in the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at the Maximum Security Prison.

A featurette has also been unveiled. Academy Award nominee Colman Domingo. Breakout star Clarence Maclin and the filmmakers take you behind the scenes of their critically acclaimed new film. Including its groundbreaking production model and the true brotherhood that brought it to life.

PREMISE

Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men. Including a wary newcomer (Clarence Maclin), in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art. Starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.
