Amy Adams plays a mother who undergoes a rather strange transformation in the official trailer for Searchlight Pictures’ Nightbitch.
A mother who turns into a dog on a regular basis? That’s not something you’d ever expect to hear. Particularly when the role of the mother is portrayed by the stunning Amy Adams. But that is the premise of the upcoming movie Nightbitch. The film is a comedy horror adaptation of the 2021 novel of the same name by Rachel Yoder. The film adaptation is both written and directed by Marielle Heller. Joining Amy Adams in the cast are Scoot McNairy, Arleigh Patrick Snowden, Emmett James Snowden, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Ella Thomas, Archana Rajan, and Jessica Harper. The film is set to premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7th. Searchlight Pictures will release it in the United States and the United Kingdom on December 6th. Furthermore, the official trailer for the film was released today.
PREMISE
A woman pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom, but soon her domesticity takes a surreal turn. She sometimes transforms into a dog.
Initially, the film was slated for release on Hulu; however, it was subsequently decided to debut it in theaters. The producers of the movie include Anne Carey, Marielle Heller, Sue Naegle, Christina Oh, Amy Adams, and Stacy O’Neil.
Nightbitch opens in cinemas on December 6th.
