Black Bear has today released the new poster artwork for the film adaptation of the Robert Harris thriller novel, Conclave. The movie will open in the UK and Ireland on November 29th. The film adaptation is directed by Edward Berger and penned by Peter Straughan. Ralph Fiennes leads a superb cast that includes Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini. The film focuses on the twisty bid for succession following a pope’s abrupt death. The film will receive its International Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

PREMISE

From director Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) CONCLAVE follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events. Selecting a new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is responsible for overseeing this clandestine operation following the untimely demise of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world. And are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy. And discovers a secret that could shake the very foundation of The Church.
