Altitude has released the action-packed trailer for epic WILLIAM TELL, from BAFTA award-winning director Nick Hamm, in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from 10 January 2025. Cue the famous theme, he’s back!
WILLIAM TELL brings to life the legendary tale of the 14th-century marksman. As the nations of medieval Europe struggle for power, the ruthless Austrian Empire invades Switzerland. And a peaceful huntsman, William Tell, is thrust into the heart of their resistance.
THE CAST
Claes Bang (THE NORTHMAN, BAD SISTERS) stars as the eponymous folklore hero, leading a star-studded cast that includes Connor Swindells (BARBIE, SEX EDUCATION). Golshifteh Farahani (EXTRACTION II, PATERSON). Ellie Bamber (LES MISÉRABLES, NOCTURNAL ANIMALS). Academy Award-nominated Jonathan Pryce (THE TWO POPES, THE CROWN). Jonah Hauer-King (THE LITTLE MERMAID, THE TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ). And Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley (GANDHI, SCHINDLER’S LIST).
Emerging as a powerful tale for modern audiences, WILLIAM TELL also stars Emily Beecham (HAIL!, CAESER, DAPHNE). Amar Chadha-Patel (WILLOW, FIFTEEN-LOVE) and Rafe Spall (THE BIG SHORT, TRYING).
WILLIAM TELL received its World Premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival followed by its European Premiere at the 2024 Zurich Film Festival.
