Today Foton. Pictures and Rosebud Pictures are delighted to announce that their feature THE UNINVITED featuring Pedro Pascal. Elizabeth Reaser. Walton Goggins and Rufus Sewell will have a special worldwide preview launch on TVOD platforms from November 19th after its North American premiere at the Egyptian Theater in LA on November 15th and limited theatrical release.

PREMISE
THE UNINVITED is a story about the passing of time, love, regret and ageing. This comedic drama centers on Rose, a former actress now living as a stay-at-home mom, who as she prepares the house to host a party for her husband’s job an elderly woman named Helen arrives, claiming she has returned home. This unexpected encounter, along with the presence of other complicated characters from her past and present, creates a night of chaos and forces Rose to confront her insecurities and reflect on her journey as a woman. The film humorously critiques Hollywood’s beauty standards while celebrating the complexities of womanhood and explores the themes of motherhood, and self-discovery in Los Angeles.

As a 54-year-old woman making her narrative directorial debut, I feel compelled to underscore that the road to this later-than-anticipated outing is a beautiful product of the exact struggle between work life and homelife.
The comedy and the pathos have resonated with women and hearing the laughter and sharing in the emotion afterwards has been one of the greatest experiences of making the film. I hope that with a bigger platform, the experience of the film – of feeling seen will continue to resonate.”
