Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the first trailer for James Gunn’s highly-anticipated reboot of the Man Of Steel, Superman!
Look up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a Plane? No, it is what we’ve all been waiting for! That long-awaited first trailer for James Gunn’s Superman. The world has been eagerly anticipating the trailer flying in and now it has. And it is glorious! David Corenswet finally takes to the skies as the Man Of Steel, Clark Kent / Superman. Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult brings Lex Luthor to life. Wendell Pierce portrays Perry White, and Pruitt Taylor Vince takes on the role of Jonathan Kent. Neva Howell plays Martha Kent, Isabela Merced appears as Hawkgirl and Edi Gathegi portrays Michael Holt/Mister Terrific. Nathan Fillion embodies Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Anthony Carrigan plays Rex Mason/Metamorpho. Together, they create a dynamic cast that enhances the story.

Also appearing in the film are MarĂa Gabriela de FarĂa as Angela Spica / The Engineer, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, and Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl. You’ve waited long enough. It’s time to get up, up and away with the first trailer.
PREMISE
“Superman,” DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.

THOUGHTS
WOW! It was everything we could hope for! Of course, James Gunn and Warner Bros are going to be keeping much of what the film contains under wraps but for a taster, this ain’t bad! It does enough to whet our appetites for the film and the probable Superbowl trailer that may fly in. And David Corenswet looks incredible as Superman. My hopes for the film, which were already raised, have now taken to the skies. But considering he’s a fan, could we also hope for James Gunn to use the classic John Williams theme all the way through the film? I seriously doubt it as this is supposed to be the reset of the DCU.
But even the use of it in the trailer raises the hope that the classic score will have some context that would blow the roofs off of theaters around the world. Let’s wait and see (and hear) what composer John Murphy has come up with.

James Gunn will have us believing a man can fly again when Superman opens on July 11, 2025.
What did you think of the trailer? Does it make you more or less excited about the film? Do you think James Gunn will pull it off and send fans soaring above the clouds? Fly down to the comments section to let us know. We’d love to hear your thoughts.
