Warner Bros has shared a brand-new poster for Ben Affleck’s long-awaited sequel, THE ACCOUNTANT 2.
Just days after releasing the first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, Warner Bros has unveiled a brand new poster for The Accountant 2. The original film blew us away back in 2016, and now, nine years later, Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal are set to reprise their roles as Christian Wolff and Braxton for another round of number-crunching mayhem.
The film is the latest project to emerge from Warner Bros. and Amazon MGM Studios’ collaboration, and it promises to be another landmark event. It features Affleck’s Wolff solving the murder of a long-time acquaintance. But when the investigation goes sideways, Wolff calls upon the services of his lethal brother Braxton and lets the mayhem commence. If you missed the trailer, check it out here. SYNOPSIS
When an old acquaintance is murdered, Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax, to help. In partnership with Marybeth Medina, they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.
CAST
In addition to Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal, the film features Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons. The sequel is directed by Gavin O’Connor, who also directed the original movie. The screenplay was written by Bill Dubuque, the same writer who penned the script for the first film.
RELEASE
This new poster is exceptional and has effortlessly dialed our excitement to eleven. And rightly so. The Accountant may have received mixed reviews from critics, but it was a massive success at the box office, grossing $155.2 million against a budget of $44 million. With Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal returning for another installment and J.K.
