Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 | Hot Toys Reveals Its First Exclusive

The collecting frenzy for Star Wars Celebration Japan starts with Hot Toys!

Last year, Hot Toys had announced that Galen Erso would be an exclusive figure for Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025. Today, they have finally revealed what it looks like. There will be 1,500 units available at the Hot Toys booth during the event. Their booth is the #17-8.

But the most surprising news isn’t the Galen Erso reveal. Indeed, Hot Toys has also announced they will have a total of 18 exclusive items! Keep in mind that Hot Toys has a great range of products like Cosbaby and apparel so not all of these will be 1/6 figures. Each item will be limited to 2 units per customer. And entrance regulation to the Hot Toys booth will be implemented during busy hours. However, there won’t be entry tickets, so you will have to line up to get there.

A brilliant scientist, Galen Erso was coerced into using kyber crystals to enhance energy yields – work his friend Orson Krennic then weaponized to create the Death Star’s superlaser. Galen fled to remote Lah’mu with his family, but Krennic tracked him down and forced him to resume his work. Trapped, Galen seeks to build a fatal flaw into the Death Star and reveal it to the Alliance.

Surprise! Hot Toys is making an appearance at the Star Wars Celebration, marking ten years since our last participation in the United States. This year, Hot Toys is returning with an exclusive 1/6th scale Galen Erso figure, available only in Japan with limited 1,500 units.

The expertly crafted figure features Mads Mikkelsen’s portrayal of Galen Erso from the well-regarded Star Wars movie, Rogue One. It features a highly detailed head sculpt, enhanced by separate rolling eyeballs, showcasing a faithful likeness of the character. Meanwhile, Galen’s Imperial officer uniform is finely tailored in green and light blue, accompanied with his blaster rifle. Accessories include a Death Star plans disk, a storage disk, a Death Star hologram miniature, as well as a specially designed figure stand, offering a great range of displaying options.
