Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are NOT too old for this s**t as the original Lethal Weapon is heading to 4K UHD for the first time.
They’re NOT too old for this s**t! Lethal Weapon, the 1987 action thriller film from director Richard Donner. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover star in this film, which will debut on 4K UHD, in a 4K UHD SteelBook, and as a 4K UHD Collector’s Edition on June 23. This box office hit received an Academy Award nomination for Best Sound. And led to a franchise that includes three sequels and a television series.
The 4K UHD release includes the 1987 theatrical version of the film and the 2000 Director’s Cut, which features an additional 7 minutes of footage not seen in cinemas.
Directed by Donner (Superman), the film stars Gibson (Braveheart) as Detective Martin Riggs. Glover (Predator 2) as Detective Roger Murtaugh, and Gary Busey (Point Break). Shane Black wrote the script, and Donner, Joel Silver, and Silver Pictures produced the film.
ABOUT THE FILM
Mel Gibson stars as a one-man killing machine. A Los Angeles policeman who recently lost his wife and has been acting increasingly unstable. Danny Glover plays a by-the-book homicide detective with an impeccable record and a loving family. Now the two are stuck with each other as partners. Investigating a suicide that leads to an international crime ring and ever-increasing danger in this blockbuster action thriller.
