Alien fans rejoice, Noah Hawley’s Alien Earth series will launch with a two-episode season premiere in August, followed by a weekly rollout.
FX and Disney+ have revealed the release dates for Noah Hawley’s highly anticipated new series, Alien Earth. We’ve known for a while that Hawley’s fresh take on the Alien saga would be arriving this summer, but until now, the studio had been reluctant to commit to a release timetable. But today, all that has changed. FX and Disney+ have confirmed that the series will enjoy its two-episode season premiere on Aug. 12 in the US, before settling into a weekly episodic release schedule. If that isn’t enough, the studio has also shared the first official images from the series.
The first two episodes of “Alien: Earth,” based on the iconic sci-fi film franchise, will premiere on Wednesday, August 13 with the first two episodes available to stream on Disney+ in the UK. A new episode of the 8-episode season will premiere each following Wednesday on Disney+.

SYNOPSIS
“When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, “Wendy” (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s “Alien: Earth.”
In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named “Wendy” marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani’s spaceship collides into Prodigy City, “Wendy” and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.
