James Gunn explains why we should flock to the cinema and check out Superman in IMAX in the latest teaser for the DC blockbuster.
At long last, Superman week is finally here. The son of Jor-El is flying onto cinema screens everywhere on July 11, and to ensure we are all suitably excited, James Gunn has added his voice to a new video discussing why IMAX is the ultimate experience for seeing the new film.
Superhero films are always better on the biggest screen you can find. But when it comes to the ultimate face-off between the Kryptonian and his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor, IMAX is the only way to go! Thankfully, we don’t have to wait for the latest editorial from the Daily Planet to get our first look. Check out the video below, I’m sure Perry White would give it his seal of approval!
“Superman,” DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.
THE FILM
James Gunn’s impressive cast for the film features David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Nicholas Hoult will take on the role of Lex Luthor. They will be joined by Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. Also joining them are Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.

It feels great to gear up to welcome a new Superman movie again. The character has always been filled with hope and heroism. If James Gunn can capture the same atmosphere as the Richard Donner era mixed with contemporary polish, DC fans can look forward to a rollercoaster ride of DC awesomeness.
