Sadly, the introduction of a younger Superman brings Henry Cavill’s tenure as the Man of Steel to a close. The actor famously returned to the role in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. But the sudden seizmic shift, and the appointment of Gunn and Peter Safran as joint CEO’s of the new DC Studios forced the creatives into a complete reset. How this soft reboot will effect the current crop of DC heroes remains to be seen. Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits cinemas this friday before The Flash speeds into the Speed-Force in June.
