After figures from the original series and Kamen Rider Black Sun, Hot Toys continues to expand its Kamen Rider lineup. This time, they have announced figures from the 1987 series, Kamen Rider Black. Kamen Rider Black and Shadow Moon will both be available, along with another battle hopper. They all feature LED light-up effects. These will be a must-have for fans of the classic Japanese franchise.
KAMEN RIDER BLACK
In the 1987 tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Black, the story follows the harrowing journey of Kotaro Minami, a young man unwillingly transformed into a cyborg by the sinister cult Gorgom. Alongside his stepbrother Nobuhiko Akizuki, Kotaro is chosen to become a “Century King”, destined to battle for the right to succeed the Creation King and lead Gorgom’s dark reign. Upon learning that Gorgom was responsible for his parents’ deaths and that both he and Nobuhiko were born during a solar eclipse (earning them the titles “Black Sun” and “Shadow Moon”), Kotaro takes up the mantle of Kamen Rider Black. Driven by vengeance and hope, he vows to stand against Gorgom’s twisted ambitions and save his brother, setting the stage for an epic battle between light and shadow.
