It is time to get into shape once again as Apple TV+ announces the second season of the beloved stop-motion series Shape Island, coming soon.
Today, Apple TV+ announced that the second season of the clever, funny, and inspiring stop-motion animated series “Shape Island” will debut globally on August 29. Based on the internationally bestselling “Shapes” picture book trilogy by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen. The second season is set to return with more imaginative adventures for kids and families.
The Children’s and Family Emmy Award-winning series from Apple TV+ takes place on a charming island. It invites viewers to join serious Square, intrepid Circle and tricky Triangle as they dig up some fun, search for answers and build on their friendship. All while learning how to navigate each other’s differences. “Shape Island” shows kids that friendship can take many shapes.
SEASON 2 VOICES
Season two features the familiar voices of Yvette Nicole Brown (“Frog and Toad”) as the narrator. Harvey Guillen (“Puss In Boots: The Last Wish”) as Square. Scott Adsit (“Big Hero 6”) as Triangle and Gideon Adlon (“Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earth”) as Circle.

Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, both authors and executive producers, co-created “Shape Island.” Recently, the Library of Congress appointed Barnett as the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Kelli Bixler and Drew Hodges (“Tumble Leaf”) from the Emmy Award-winning studio Bix Pix Entertainment also serve as executive producers. Ryan Pequin serves as co-executive producer and head writer.
RECENT KIDS AND FAMILY OFFERINGS
The exciting slate of recent offerings for kids and families on Apple TV+ features the recently released music-driven animated comedy series “BE@RBRICK” from DreamWorks Animation. “Goldie,” inspired by Emily Brundige’s award-winning 2019 short film of the same name. Peanuts series “Camp Snoopy”. The second season of beloved animated series “Frog and Toad,” based on the Caldecott and Newbery Honor-winning books
The celebrated kids and family series “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!” is inspired by the hit, Emmy Award-nominated cultural phenomenon “Yo Gabba Gabba!”. “Me,” an elevated cinematic coming-of-age story from Barry L. Levy. And “Wonder Pets: In the City,” from Jennifer Oxley.

Shape Island season 2 is set to premiere globally on August 29.
