FANCY A DANCE WITH BALLERINA ON PVOD?

This week’s major PVOD release is Ballerina. The film is a spin-off from the John Wick franchise. It stars Ana de Armas as ballerina-turned-assassin Eve Macarro, who takes on an army of killers as she avenges the death of her father. The supporting cast includes Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick (in his final screen appearance), Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves. Any fan of John Wick will get a kick out of the film. It shares similarities with the main franchise, but Eve and Wick are distinct characters with unique traits. Anyone expecting a female John Wick is in for a shock. It’s similar, but takes a different direction from those films, despite Reeves appearing as Wick. In my own opinion, it is worth paying £15.99 to rent the film, but it’s better value to buy the film early for £19.99, which I have!

Can Ballerina dethrone A Minecraft Movie from the top spot next week? There’s only one way to find out. Come by again next week to see who’s in and who’s out of the top ten places. So, until then…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!
