Within hours of commencing filming, Marvel and Sony have dropped the first teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. In a video shared to social media, Tom Holland’s new Spidey emerges from the shadows, giving us a look at the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler’s new threads in all their glory. Check it out below.
CAST
Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man. In Brand New Day, Jon Bernthal joins the cast as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Zendaya will return as MJ, and Jacob Batalon will reprise his role as Ned. Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, stars in an unspecified role, and Liza Colón-Zayas is new to the franchise. Recently, Mark Ruffalo has been added to the cast as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Michael Mando will reprise his role as The Scorpion.
Fans will now begin to speculate about who will join Spider-Man: Brand New Day next. Rumors had been circulating for a while that Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk would make an appearance in the film. And now that is officially confirmed. But now, with Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher also confirmed to feature, all eyes will be on Marvel to bring Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in to complete the heroic lineup. After all, in the comics, the gang makes a sensational team, so fans will be licking their lips at the potential storyline, especially if it links to the finale of Daredevil: Born Again season 2.

RELEASE
It seems fitting that Jon Bernthal will finally appear alongside Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After all, the two actors famously assisted each other with their auditions for their respective roles. Therefore, seeing The Punisher team up with Spider-Man feels like a well-deserved reward for both actors, who are at the peak of their careers. Add Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and now Mark Ruffalo into the mix, and Destin Daniel Cretton has a recipe for success. The director recently helmed Shang-Chi And The Legend of Ten Rings for Marvel, making him the perfect choice to succeed Jon Watts in the director’s chair. Exciting times ahead for Spidey fans!
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shooting in England now and is already slated for a July 31, 2026, release.
