Black Bear has announced that David Mackenzie’s Slick Thriller RELAY will be released in UK cinemas on October 31st.
Look out, UK fans, because Black Bear has confirmed that David Mackenzie’s slick thriller, Relay, is coming to UK cinemas this Halloween. The film, led by Riz Ahmed, Lily James, and Sam Worthington, follows a world-class “fixer” who finds himself in a race against time to save his latest client’s life. But when his real identity is exposed and his cover is blown, he finds himself in a fight for survival. The film looks like a true edge-of-your-seat thriller up there with the Bond franchise. SYNOPSIS
In Relay, Riz Ahmed plays a world class “fixer” who specialises in brokering lucrative payoffs between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten their ruin. He keeps his identity a secret through meticulous planning and always follows an exacting set of rules. But when a message arrives one day from a potential client (Lily James) needing his protection just to stay alive, the rules quickly start to change.
CAST & CREW
After his success with Hell Or High Water, David Mackenzie has put together an incredible ensemble cast to bring his vision to life. In addition to Riz Ahmed, the film stars Lily James, Sam Worthington, and Willa Fitzgerald. The screenplay was written by Justin Piasecki, with Basil Iwanyk, Gillian Berrie, David Mackenzie, and Teddy Schwarzman serving as producers. Composer Tony Doogan is attached to create the film’s score.

This is exciting news! “Relay” appears to be a thrilling film and is a strong contender to top our watchlist this autumn. While Halloween week will feature plenty of traditional horror films, “Relay” will provide an excellent alternative for cinemagoers to look forward to this October.
